This manuscript is part of the New Testament, the Gospels of Saints Luke and John, in the Coptic Bohairic dialect. Each Gospel begins with a decorated heading, followed by golden lines with blue and black coloring. The first letters are adorned and each chapter starts with lines in red.
The divisions are in red and the colophon at the end of the manuscript includes the year of the inscription, the name of the interested person, and the place to which it was presented. The date given is 1047 of the Martyrs Calendar, corresponding to 730 after Hijra (AD 1331). |
