The statue shows King Amenhotep the Third with his left fist clenched around a bolt of cloth or kerchief held horizontally on his upper leg.

After nearly 34 centuries, King Amenhotep the Third remains one of ancient Egypt's most fascinating and complex personalities. He encouraged his sculptors to create bold, innovative styles and studied Egypt's most ancient artistic and religious traditions with a keen intellectual curiosity.
