Mosque Lamp Related to Sultan Hassan

This mosque lamp has a spherical shaft and a fairly long neck. The shaft has six added grips void of decorations. It also has a high base.

The decoration that covers the whole exterior surface of the lamp, from top to bottom, consists of flowers with hexagonal petals and lotus flowers; the latter designed in the Chinese style. All are outlined by a blue glazed background.

The motives show golden traces, which means they were originally gold plated. The background is covered with thick decoration of foliage and small flowers, in addition to narrow stripes that border the mouth and the lower part of the neck. There are almond-shaped gammas with lobed frames around the grips, and all are void of decorations.

The neck and the lower part of the shaft have three circles, within which there are horizontal stripes with inscriptions.
