Wooden Panel with Two Birds

The wooden panel is enclosed on the top and bottom by a frame consisting of two carved lines. The surface of the piece bears two engravings of a high-relief of a bird inside a carved circle. The birds are facing each other.

Although the birds appear to be identical, after some observation many differences appear. A series of 16 deep holes is carved on each of the two long sides and a small hole is carved on the right side.
