The Convent of Sultan Farag Ibn Barquq is a school with a square form. It consists of a nave in the center that is surrounded by four aisles. There are two shrines topped by a dome on each.

Al-Qadi Abdel Basit School

The Al-Qadi Abdel Basit School played more than one role. As an establishment it included a school and a mosque. In a later era, a funerary role was added.

Zawiya of Hassan Al-Roumy

This zawiya is located at Sikkat Al-Mahgar Street to the left of the ascending street that leads to the Citadel. It has two facades, on the northwest and on the southwestern side. The northwestern facade is the main frontage of the zawiya. The interior of the zawiya is rectangular in form. The tomb is in the northern corner of the zawiya, and is in the form of an elevated mastaba with a pointed stone complex on top.
