Sennedjem was the chief artisan in the Theban necropolis during the reign of Ramesses The Second. His tomb was discovered intact in AD 1886 with his furnishings and those of some members of his family.

Ghaybi Al-Tawrizy is one of the most prominent artisans of the Mamluk period. Many examples of his work can be found in the Museum of Islamic Art.

Ghaza'l is one of the greatest artisans of the Mamluk period. Many examples of his work survive. He had an artistic school in pottery workshop.
