The Tanagra statue depicts a girl wrapped in a coat, with one foot forward, and her leg slightly bent. The arm and the bent knee under the coat show the movement of the clothes.

Her hair is neat, twisted into a bun shape and decorated with leaves and fruits from the willow tree.

The Tanagra figurines are distinguished by a diversity of shapes. They generally portray women. They were named after a small town named Tanagra in Boeotia, Greece where many similar statues were found.
